Ayi-Ekpenyong is the Founder and Managing Partner of Bosker Law Practice. He studied law in the prestigious University of Calabar and graduated with a Second Class (Upper Division). He attended the Nigerian Law School, Lagos and also graduated with a Second Class (Upper Division). For almost a decade, he has been involved in active legal practice which covers both commercial transactions and litigations. He has garnered vast experience, skills, knowledge and expertise in most of the firm’s core practice areas, and he is highly respected, celebrated and recognized for his unmatched expertise and excellent service delivery to clients. Before he founded Bosker Law Practice, he worked very closely with renowned Senior Advocates of Nigeria (SANs) in most of the top commercial law firms in Lagos.
As an astute litigator cum advocate, he has successfully represented individuals, companies, Non-Governmental Organizations and government agencies before superior courts of record in Nigeria both as lead counsel, junior counsel and co-counsel. He possesses robust litigation expertise and experience that cut across domestic and cross border commercial disputes in various areas of the firm’s core competences. Some of his remarkable litigation experience and jobs are:
- He was part of the Legal Team that successfully recovered the sum of N2,600,000,000 (Two Billion Six Hundred Million Naira only) plus interest on behalf of a popular Nigerian commercial bank, in a highly controversial debt recovery litigation, against a top energy company in Nigeria.
- He was pivotal to the successful defence of Unity Bank Plc, at the Lagos State High Court, in a breach of contract action, instituted against the Bank by one of its customers, who had obtained loan facility worth N18,750,000.00 (Eighteen Million, Seven Hundred and Fifty Thousand Naira only) from the Bank.
- He successfully represented, advised and defended a top real estate company, Deano Golf Warehouse Limited, in a highly controversial tenancy dispute, instituted against the Company by one of its tenants, at the Lagos State Magistrate Court, Yaba. Ayi-Ekpenyong’s strategy and preliminary objection led to the striking out of the suit by the Court.
- He was part of the Legal Team that successfully represented and defended Unity Bank Plc (“the Bank”) in an action instituted by Royal Exchange General Insurance Company against Nationwide Unity Transport Limited and the Bank, for destruction of its vehicle. Ayi-Ekpenyong’s strategy led to the striking out of the name of the Bank from the suit for failure to disclose any cause of action against the Bank.
- He was part of the Junior Counsel that worked with some distinguished Senior Advocates of Nigeria in representing and defending the Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Governor Udom Gabriel Emmanuel, at the 2019 Akwa Ibom State Governorship Election Tribunal. In its Judgment, the Tribunal affirmed the victory of Governor Udom Emmanuel of the People’s Democratic Party in the governorship election held in Akwa State on 9th March 2019.
- He was part of the Team that represented Access Bank Plc against the Nigeria Civil Service Union (NCSU) at the Federal High Court.
- He solely represented Red Giant Nigeria Limited in a case instituted by some bureau de change companies in the Senior District Court of the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja, against the Company. Ayi-Ekpenyong’s argument led to the striking out of the case and the setting aside of the ex parte order issued by the court against the Company. The Company’s bank account was thereafter unfrozen.
As a transactional expert, he regularly advises a wide range of clients including blue-chip multinational and domestic companies. He has advised on international & local joint ventures, partnerships, mergers, acquisitions and takeovers. He has registered various companies in Nigeria and has advised on regulatory compliance in relation to company law and practice in Nigeria. He has also prepared and reviewed countless complex commercial agreements for clients.
Some of his outstanding transactional works are:
- He successfully represented and advised a top real estate company, 123 GOG Homes, in a property transaction involving the acquisition of a property worth N500,000,000 (Five Hundred Million Naira) in Lagos State. He prepared the contract of sale, deed of assignment and also perfected the title.
- He advised ship owners on the requirements for arrest and release of ships under Nigerian Law
- He was part of the Legal Team that advised Oando PLC on the enforcement of a commercial agreement against the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) in 2017.
- He advised and represented a top Nigerian security company, Securepoint Security Solutions Limited, in a N47,100,000 (Forty-Seven Million, One Hundred Thousand Naira) equity acquisition deal.
- He has successfully procured letters of administration and probate for numerous clients and have also registered marriages in Nigeria.
- Incorporated numerous companies and business names in various sectors such as real estate, logistics, financial technology, e-commerce, transport, fashion designing & tailoring, entertainment, oil and gas, energy, financial services, bars and restaurants etc.
- He advised some companies on regulatory compliance and also procured various licences, permits and approvals in different sectors of the economy. These include but not limited to: Building Approval, Business Permits, Expatriate Quotas, Visas, Nigerian Combined Expatriate Residence Permit and Aliens Card (“CERPAC”) and Nigerian Temporary Work Permit (“TWP”), Mining Licence and Mineral Resources Export Permit, NAFDAC Registration Number etc.
- He successfully advised and represented a renowned logistics company, Srex International Limited, in a debt dispute with DHL International Nigeria Limited.
- He successfully advised and represented three (3) individual buyers in a property transaction involving the purchase of a property worth N151,000,000 (One Hundred and Fifty Million Naira) from Ekwueme Properties Limited.
- Successfully advised and represented an e-commerce company, Stylrum, in a complaint filed by one its customers before the Federal Competition & Consumer Protection Commission
- Represented and advised popular artistes and celebrities on label, artiste management and endorsement contracts. For instance, he advised and represented Dezbilly Entertainment Limited in a dispute arising from the termination of artiste management contract.
- He has served and still serving as a Company Secretary to various companies in Lagos.

Ayi-Ekpenyong is an active member of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) which is the umbrella professional association that regulates lawyers in Nigeria. His active role and immense contributions to the development of the legal profession in Nigeria gained him an appointment as the Executive Assistant to the NBA President in 2018. After his tenure, the new NBA President, Mr. Olumide Akpata, immediately appointed him as the Secretary of the NBA Legal Education Committee. The said Committee is a Standing Committee of the NBA and is saddled with the responsibility of reforming the legal education system in Nigeria. Other Professional affiliations include:
